Is playing on the Runescape Web Browser better than the Desktop Client?

Runescape 3: What's better; the Web Client or the Desktop Client?

Accessibility is an important factor when choosing where to play a game that takes years to finish. The first thing that comes to mind is that you need to download the desktop client. It only takes a few minutes, but is it worth it? The web client is simple, and you can just bookmark the page, and you're there within seconds of sitting down.

Advertisements are one of the way they make money, but we don't really care. Runescape is a game, and we don't want any advertising on it. The web browser option gives you the ability to block advertisements, while on the desktop client, you can not.

Something positive about the desktop clients is the fact that they can be re-sized to just about any width or height, while on the web browser, you can re-size it, but not really. You have to do it to the whole window, which is just bulging and unnatural.

So, what do you use? I personally don't like the desktop client's ability to show ads, so I prefer to use the web client. Although, I really would like someone like the RSBuddy team to make a Runescape 3 version of their OSBuddy, which is for Runescape Oldschool. I wrote an very informative article on the OSBuddy, which you can read if you click here!
